Daffodils fill the fields of the Haut-Lignon, heralding the arrival of spring and the spring holidays.

The Tourist Office and its partners have put together a programme of activities and events for you to enjoy with the whole family during the spring holidays. Find out what’s on and what’s new, and come and visit us at our reception desks for personalised advice.

Events programme From 4 April to 3 May 2026

Once again this year, the Office de Tourisme du Haut-Lignon will be bringing spring to life with its “Envies de Printemps” events programme!

During the Easter holidays, you’ll have the chance to visit farms, take themed tours, take part in introductory courses in outdoor sports or nature outings, take part in creative workshops.. .

It’s a great opportunity to spend some quality time with your children, or to enjoy an original experience with your grown-up friends.

With spring just around the corner, birds are in the midst of their mating season, making their nests and protecting their territory…

Looking for active nature?

Spring means enjoying the rebirth of nature in contemplative mode, but not just that… It’s also about being outdoors, getting active and moving to combine the 2! Here are a few ideas for activities in the Haut-Lignon and in the great outdoors in spring.

The squirrel awakens! Climb from tree to tree, like a lucky squirrel, and enjoy preferential group admission to the park on the opening weekend of the Écureuil adventure trail.

Welcome to the Château du Mazel echo-domain. You’ll find a farm with merino sheep and angora goats. Visit the château echo-domaine with Sonia, who will introduce you to Merino ewes and Angora goats before enjoying a snack on the farm.

The animals are just starting to go out to pasture after the winter…
Visit the farm on 8 and 15 April.

Terroir

At the Mézenk distillery in Saint-Jeures: after a tour of the distillation workshop and ageing cellar with Jacques, the oenologist-distiller, discover MEZENK spirits and their typical characteristics. The tasting will be accompanied by a commentary. A unique tasting experience combining know-how, secret recipes and plants picked on the estate!

Jacques offers a cocktail workshop combining distillery and mixology. You’ll make 4 cocktail recipes created by mixologists. Summary of ideas, advice and recipes to reproduce at home.

At the Mazesté brewery in Mazet-Saint-Voy: Discover the secrets of brewing during a meeting with enthusiasts who grow barley, wheat and hops on site. Followed by a beer tasting session.

Discover the history of the Vivarais-Lignon plateau,“a land of memory and resistance“.
Visit the Place of Remembrance and discover the history of reception and rescue during the Second World War.

Don't miss the spring event From farm to farm

It’s an annual event, and a date to remember: the last weekend in April.
33 farms in the Haute-Loire will be opening their doors.

The train is back on track!

On 8 April 2026, the Velay Express will set off from Raucoules for its first run of the year.
Steam train or railcar, half-day or full-day, take a trip back in time for an unforgettable family experience. This is a Famille Plus activity.
