A dynamic and animated village. All year round various activities take place, organized by the local people. In the summer: concerts, outdoor cinema, star observations, excursions (parcours de la mémoire), training courses (tennis, golf, circus, pottery..., sport events, second hand trade markets... and for the sportsmen (golf 18 holes, tree climbing, horseback riding, mechanical sports, mountain biking fishing...)

This cosmopolitan village is situated on the border of the Ardèche, near the Mediteranean and Atlantic water divide. It always has remained faithful to its long traditin of hosting people, and is considered to be openminded. Notice the inscription above the door of the protestant church (temple) "Love one another". Le Chambon obtained its international recognition because of its history and the international Collège Cevenol. Several books and films have contributed to this.
